		<description>ok.. there are a couple of ways to check this out but this one will probably work the best.  It does involve some leg work on your part.  Start by calling &quot;the biggies&quot; i.e. Verizon  18009220204 customer service, give them the # they will then ask for the name and the last 4 of your social for verification.  Right off the bat, if the number is NOT theirs, it won&#039;t populate in their computer system, in fact I think when you call, you&#039;ll get an automated lady... punch in the the cell #... if it&#039;s VZW, you can proceed, if not the automatron will say &quot;sorry... etc&quot;  Then call AT&amp;T 1-800-331-0500 go through the same process... in fact, I think on the verizonwireless.com site, you can type in a number to see if a customer is &quot;in&quot; That will at least confirm if it&#039;s a vzw number.  Call Sprint, etc repeating the process as you go... So, once you&#039;ve figured out which carrier it is, you can request a cust service rep transfer you to the fraud department to report this...
